Teamfight Tactics (TFT) renews its champions, origins and objects in season 2

Riot Games details the news of the elements rise, version 9.22 of Master Tactics: replace the origins with Elements, introduce new mechanics, and add and remove champions

Teamfight Tactics will change deeply with version 9.22, when its second season will be released on November 5: The elements rise. It will bring new champions and others present will leave the game board hexagons; the origins are replaced by elements that will work similarly, and objects have new combinations.

The origins we met during the beta phase of Master Tactics will no longer be present in the game. They will be replaced by elements that will work with the same rules: a character will belong to a specific element and by mixing several of the same element, we will get a bonus that will affect all of them.

With the new champions also come new classes such as Avatar, Alchemist, Berserker, Druid or Predator. Not all beta champions disappear, but there are many who are replaced by new ones and those who change their rank and/or abilities; To this, we must add an interesting mechanic with Lux. In addition, the new elements and classes bring new combinations of objects (the basic items will remain the same).

The name of the second season not only refers to the replacement of the origins by the elements, but also to a new game mechanic. The games will start with a dominant element: infernal, ocean, mountain or wind. Facing the elemental dragon will be of the element of that game, and the Qiyana champion will be of that same element.

But where it will affect the most will be in the elementary hexagons. At the beginning of the game, the same hexagon of all the boards will have an element that will empower the champion to start the game on top (although the effect counts as one object, so if the champion has three objects it will not be affected by the element ). A second hex will appear in phase 3-1 of the game. Its effects are as follows:

  • Infernal: grants attack speed throughout the fight.
  • Ocean: the champion begins combat with additional mana.
  • Mountain: grants permanent life that accumulates from one round to another, even if it moves to the elemental hexagon champion
  • Wind: grants probability of dodging throughout the fight.
